The Responsible Jewelery Council (RJC) has reported record membership growth for the first six weeks of 2023
With a record number of new and renewed members in the first half of the year, the RJC believes this accelerated pace of growth is a testament to the industry’s commitment to responsible jewelery and sustainable business practices.
The leading standards body is hiring additional staff to accommodate its rapidly expanding membership base.
The RJC is seeking a qualified Project Manager with at least two years experience with standards systems in the areas of business practices, environmental and social issues to fill the position of Standards and Training Coordinator.
The Membership Admin role is also currently open for applications. Successful candidates will have highly qualified administrative skills and at least five years of customer service experience – preferably in the finance department of a trade association, membership organization or in a customer-facing environment.
An expanded team promises faster response times and improved collaboration with the Council community.
Continuing its commitment to improving the membership experience, the RJC has added additional training dates in the form of live webinars to its 2023 calendar.
The Self-Assessment: How to Prepare for Your RJC Audit webinar covers the certification steps of a 2019 Code of Practices (COP) audit and gives members the opportunity to ask questions about the self-assessment processes and COPs.
The COP 6 Human Rights & COP 7 Due Diligence webinar defines human rights and due diligence, explains their importance in relation to the COPs 2019 and provides a step-by-step approach to implementing the requirements of both codes.
The webinar, Chain of Custody 2017: How to Implement the Standard, explains the standard and covers the certification process that supports it.
